Cosplay Confessions: I cosplay for attention
sorry it’s a bit redundant, had a test and a quiz today and i’m tired and that’s my excuse for being incoherent
This is the best cosplay statement I’ve heard in a while. :) I was thinking about this myself the other day when I was reading a conversation where some one thought that their cosplays were not good enough to get nice photos taken of them. If you put time and effort into your cosplays, there is NOTHING wrong with wanting them to be appreciated! Having pictures taken and having people send you messages and things is nice and wanting that does not make you a bad person. I have some cosplay friends who seem to think that “Cosplaying for Fun” and “Cosplaying for Attention” are a dichotomy, but they can definitely overlap!! The only time I’d say they WOULDN’T is if you’re getting paid to cosplay something that you really dislike! Otherwise, all cosplay is fun right? Whether you slave over it for months or hot glue it the night before the con, it is both fun and a way to put yourself out there and MEET new people and show off what makes you awesome!
(By the way Berndor and all of the girls of Inner Mind Theater are FABULOUS so Follow them!)

“You Can’t Be a Princess” | Journalists from ABC’s “What Would You Do?” planted hidden cameras in a Halloween store and filmed shoppers’ reactions to a boy who wanted a princess costume and a girl who wanted a Spiderman costume.
I’m going to refer to this every time someone tries to argue with me that gender identity isn’t TAUGHT to kids from the start. We aren’t born baby boys and girls we’re molded into them, prodded and pushed and formed into them by the world around us.

Lady Deadpool is back in action again and this time she comes in the form of the stunning Zombie Bit Me. Her spectacular work can be found here and she always delivers incredible costumes that make jaws hit the floor. Make sure you like her work so you can support her future projects, if you don’t. Deadpool will come looking for you and he won’t ask so nicely.

Zatanna flanked by two catwomen
I’ve had a major crush on the Zatanna in the middle for some time now. <3 And the Catwomen are pretty swell.
Lovely!
Dammit, don’t you know these women are ruining comics or some such nonsense?
Seriously, that’s pretty fantastic.
Red Sonja…. Fail though, every time I move or bend over there will be a nip slip. Soo waste of fabric there. I now see why so many cosplayers use a brown bra instead. I need to figure out an alternative. #redsonja #cosplay
You can easily avoid this by using fashion tape/flash tape or some other kind of skin-safe, double-sided tape. It’s meant specifically for taping your clothes to your body so you avoid those awkward moments!
You can usually pick fashion tape up from Shoppers Drug Mart or any department store; it’s usually in with lingerie/bra stuff. You may also want to pick up some skin-toned pasties juuuust in case things really go askew, and also because you don’t want to put a tape directly over your nipple.

Some paparazzi alike snapshots from the Brony Meetup in Munich! I really like them because they feel natural.
